Curriculum structure

During their five years studying at Sučany, all students are given the maximum opportunity to develop their talents and academic knowledge through the medium of both the English and the Slovak language.

Students study a full range of subjects in English during the first three years, including History, Geography, Maths, all traditional sciences and English Language and Literature. There are also classes in non-traditional subjects such as Environmental Studies, Civic Society, Philosophy and Information Technology. This period gives students a solid foundation of knowledge and develops the communication skills needed for further studies.

In the final two years, students study certain core subjects plus a range of additional courses, which they select according to their interests and university requirements. All fourth and fifth year subjects are taught bilingually. For those subjects which are taught in English, the 'maturita' examinations at the end of the fifth year are taken in English.
